Toronto Food:
Inside e11even’s New Summer Menu

Nestled in the heart of Toronto’s sports hub sits one of the city’s most beloved restaurants, e11even. The upscale sister to Real Sports, e11even focuses on providing an elevated dining experience while catering to a variety of different crowds. Nitin and I had the pleasure of attending e11even’s summer dining experience last night where we were treated to mouth-watering bites and a cocktail menu so stellar it almost put me on a liquid diet for the evening (until the mains started rolling out, that is). With something for everything, e11even’s new menu boasts impeccable flavour combinations, fresh ingredients and picture-perfect plating.

Whether you’re heading to a game, out with the girls or looking for a new date night spot, Friday nights just got a little hotter in Toronto. Visit e11even from 8:00pm – 10:00pm on Friday nights for a live jazz band, and dive into their incredible cocktails, delectable menu and buzzing patio all summer long.

Fried Chicken Burger

Nitin’s favourite of the night, this fried chicken burger is to die for. The perfect mix of crispy and tender, you’ll have a hard time finding a better burger in the area!

Hamachi

Japanese yellowtail (Hamachi) is known for its buttery texture and strong flavour, and this dish did not disappoint. It packed a major punch on the flavour scale and the spicy kick at the end left me reaching for seconds.

Miami Short Ribs

I don’t eat beef, but if I did I would probably start here. As I watched the rest of my table devour this plate, the verdict was unanimous; absolutely, indescribably delicious. While everyone else was being blown away by the texture and flavours, I was completely mesmerized with the simple yet refined plating.

Hawaiian Ribeye

As spectators on this dish I could see Nitin’s mouth beginning to water as the description poured out; tender, marinated in gochujang and beer, potatoes and onions cooked in bone marrow. Ah, make it stop!  The dish was described as hearty and flavourful, recommended for those who love a good ribeye.

Mediterranean Salad

This vegetarian option is one of the most refreshing salads I’ve had in a while. Seated on a bed of lettuce rests fresh tomatoes, thinly sliced cucumbers, chickpeas, onions and a heavenly slice of feta. Don’t mind if I do!

Lamb Chop with Yogurt

Last but certainly not least, this dish was my favourite of the night. The lamb offered a beautiful balance of richness of flavour while the cumin yogurt served as the perfect seasonal compliment. Filled with summer flavour, I’ll be back again soon for this dish!

Peanut Butter Bar

With a cheesecake-like peanut butter filling, this bar can best be described as rich and powerful. The dark chocolate exterior is used to balance out the sweetness, while the salted peanuts add the perfect texture. I was quite full after one bite of this bar, but two words solved that problem; to go!

Key Lime Cheesecake

Welcome to a cheesecake lovers dream! This dessert is perched on a graham base, filled with light, fluffy goodness and topped with a lime gastrique and unsweetened whipped cream. I’ll just take the entire cake!

Nitin and I were rolling out of e11even by the end of the night. A huge thanks to e11even for spoiling us with an incredible evening!

xx, Kiki
