Why I Swear by Clarins SOS Masks

Put your best face forward with Clarin’s SOS facemasks, created to target specific skincare concerns. I’ve been swearing by these SOS masks for months, and it didn’t take long for them to become a part of my weekly skincare regime. Whether you’re fighting dry skin, in desperate need of some moisture or want to get control of that shine, Clarins has an answer for you! I love these masks because regardless of outside factors, I know my skin is always safe!

SOS Hydra Refreshing Hydration Mask

Best for: Dehydrated skin

How do I know if my skin is dehydrated? If your skin feels rough and looks dull you may be experiencing signs of dehydrated skin. Unlike dry skin which is a skin type, dehydrated skin is a condition anyone can experience and can be a result of temperature change, sun, wind, etc.

Why I love this mask: While this is not something I’m proud of, I’ve noticed myself swapping my daily water with coffee more and more the past few weeks and my skin is telling the story. Thanks to the hyaluronic acid in this mask, it restores moisture and instantly plumps my skin. This mask has a silky film, and leaves behind a radiant, hydrated complexion every time!

How Often to Apply: 2 – 3 times per week.

SOS Pure Rebalancing Clay Mask

Best for: Combination to oily skin + skin that is prone to blemishes and enlarged pores.

How do I know if this is the mask for me? If your skin is prone to blemishes, shine or has enlarged pores, look no further.

When I love this mask: The organic Alphine willow herb extract helps to combat shine, which is exactly what I’m looking for as summer approaches. It also helps to reduce the look of pores, and when combined with Clarins new SOS Primers (stay tuned for that post!) results in flawless skin. I love how this isn’t a typical clay mask; it goes on smooth, doesn’t harden and offers a subtle clay-like texture. This mask is great for absorbing excess sebum, resulting in a stunning complexion.

How Often to Apply: 2 times per week for entire face or 3 times per week for T-zone only.

SOS Comfort Nourishing Balm Mask

Best for: Dry skin

How do I know if this is the mark for me? Dry skin is a skin type, which is often characterized by rough, tight skin that lacks vibrance.

Why I love this mask: Unlike oily skin, those with dry skin have a low level of sebum in the hydrolipidic film (this film helps to protect the skin). This mask applies like a rich balm, which helps to soothe nourish the skin my skin, leaving leaves it uber soft. It goes on more transparent than the other masks, and I find the texture to be more serum-like. Once in a while I’ll apply a thin layer to my face and leave overnight. Who doesn’t love waking up to glowing, dewy skin?!

How Often to Apply: 2 – 3 times per week

Happy masking!

xx, Kiki
