Pure + Simple Bliss Facial Review
with My Mom

I had the pleasure of visiting Pure + Simple yesterday to try out their new Bliss Facial, and I’m super excited to share my experience with you guys. You might remember this post I wrote during Pure + Simple’s Oakville grand opening in September, where I was treated to their Super Hydrating Facial. It was one of the best facials I’ve ever received, so when Pure + Simple invited my mom and I to try their newest facial I was ready to run out the door in excitement.

Designed to de-stress and rejuvenate, this anti-aging facial was created by three incredibly talented, professional estheticians at Pure + Simple; Alexandra, Amy and Fika. Their goal with this facial is to target mature skin and fine lines through the use of massage technique and a high frequency treatment. You’re probably wondering why I’m getting a treatment for mature skin. Well, that’s why I brought along my mom; to put the facial to the test! As for me, while I don’t have mature skin I do see a noticeable difference in the overall appearance of my complexion. Not only is it more plump and firm, but I’m glowing from ear to ear.

The one thing I adore and respect about Pure + Simple is their attention to detail. From the dark, calming colours of the treatment rooms to their luscious duvets to the facial itself, they don’t skip a beat with service or style. The facial begins with compression to helps you de-stress, relax and remove any tension. The treatment includes the use of a high frequency machine on the face, neck and around the eyes; the mushroom handle omits a red light which helps to lift and rejuvenate the skin while reducing fine lines and wrinkles, and promoting cell renewal. The continuous use of massage helps to stimulate circulation which is why my skin looks a lot more plump, and it also helps with lymphatic drainage. The use of oxygen helps to push hydration into the skin, which again creates that plumpness.

This is my mom’s first facial since earlier this year, and she is over the moon with her results. My parents travel quite a bit throughout the year, and while my mom lathers on the sunscreen and rocks her big hats, sun damage is still a skin concern. Coupled with aging and our already stressful lifestyles, this facial couldn’t have come at a better time. Not only did my mom get the chance to unwind and relax, but she walked out feeling great! The puffiness under her eyes has been reduced, the lines on her forehead are smoothed out and the overall appearance of her skin is healthier and more radiant. She also felt a noticeable improvement with the lymphatic drainage. It was almost like this facial brought her skin back to life. Fika, one of the estheticians involved in the creation of this facial, performed the treatment on my mom. According to my mom, there isn’t a thing she would have changed and she’ll be back to see Fika soon.

My previous facial was conducted by Amy, who comes with over 15 years experience in the industry. She is absolutely amazing and I would hands down recommend her to anyone. However, I had the opportunity to be treated by a newer member of the Pure + Simple staff for the Bliss facial, Dea (pictured below). Only graduating from beauty school this year, Dea’s techniques and mannerism far exceeds her practical experience. I love how Pure + Simple takes the time to educate, teach and train their estheticians, because whether you have someone who’s been there for 5 months or 15 years, they are all absolutely amazing professionals who through the use of techniques, products and equipment, truly leave your skin at its best; healthy, clean and glowing!
