Transitioning Your Summer Wardrobe Into Fall/ Winter

We have been spoiled with some beautiful weather lately, making the transition into fall/ winter a bit challenging this time of the year. I’ve never been one to completely pack up my clothes for the season. Sure some of my summer dresses are relocated to our spare bedroom for the winter but I often find myself recycling those pieces in different ways once the weather starts to turn. If you live in a small space or simply don’t have the time to be swapping out your clothes, here are some fun and simple ways to prolong your summer wardrobe and transition your pieces into the cooler months.

Below are some of my favourite summer pieces and how I’m transitioning them into fall. I’m a huge fan of using layers and accessories to create dimension so don’t be afraid to throw on a pair of chunky earrings, combat boots and scarf to complete any of these looks below!

Split Hem Solid Tee Dress

This summer was a casual one for most of us and this Split Hem Solid Tee Dress was my go-to for walks and just hanging around. It’s super comfortable and something I still rock around the house. Now that it’s getting colder I’m adding a long coat (I love this one and this one), as well as chunky boots or sneakers. Add a scarf and you’re good to go!

Drape Detail Pocket Cami Dress

This flowy dress is perfect for any season. When the cooler months hit just throw a sweater overtop to showcase as a skirt. I love throwing sweaters over my dresses in the winter because it creates such an effortless, stylish look and it’s super cozy because you have an extra layer on top. If you’re not completely happy with the way a particular sweater looks over your dress try adding a belt or tying the side of the sweater.

V Back Jumpsuit

We went on a lot of outdoor adventures this summer and I found myself reaching for this jumpsuit over and over again. I love the colour and can’t see myself parting with this piece just yet so I’ve been rocking it with a turtleneck lately (I love this one because it’s nice and fitted), and ever a bardot top on a slightly warmer day.

Patched Pocket Hem Tee Dress

This oversized Patched Pocket Split Hem Solid Tee Dress is the piece I throw on in the mornings and when I’m running around with Evan. This simple dress works for any time of the year and can be layered with a long sleeve t, turtleneck or simply leggings and sneakers.

Tie Dye PJ Set

Matching sets are kinda my jam lately. Over the last few months this Tie Dye Tie Front PJ Set have served as both pajamas and outdoor wear for me. I love wearing the set together but I’ll often separate them throwing on a chunky sweater with the pants when it’s chillier or layering a long sleeve tee under the t-shirt. These sets also make an awesome holiday gift!

Stay warm lovies!

xo, Kiki

T-shirt dress looks so fresh … and comfy. 💕
MUST ask: I loved your post on Hugo Naturals several years ago & I totally agree. When it disappeared from the shelves of stores where we usually ship, we found it at another tans (panicking) w me bought 2 cases of the LAVENDER (Yummmmm!) but now I can’t find the product, much less the scent. Help!! What happened – is it just GONE?? What do I use NOW!? 😢
