I love sharing hidden gems around Oakville with you guys. Some of my favourite spots in the city are tucked away in the quaint neighbourhood known as Kerr Village. Vereda Central Coffee Roasters – This family-owned business produces the most incredible freshly roasted Columbian coffee. You can take your order to-go or stay and enjoy their beautiful outdoor patio or intimate indoor space (mask required inside of course). There is so much love put into this business and the owners are such amazing, genuine people. They also offer free delivery within Halton, Mississauga and Hamilton.

The Sweetest Thing – I featured The Sweetest Thing on my blog here, and I still can’t say enough wonderful things about this bakery. I’ve been ordering from here for almost 10 years, enjoying their delicious cakes, cookies, cupcakes, ice cream & more. It’s my go-to spot whenever I’m bringing dessert somewhere (you know, back when we actually went to peoples houses regularly), am craving something sweet or celebrating any occassion.

Farmhouse Artisan Cheese – Calling all charcuterie lovers! Guys, this place is my heaven! If you’re looking for a unique, scrumptious selection of premium cheese, cured meats, & jams this is the spot for you. Not only can you purchase your own but you can order custom charcuterie boards which are absolutely divine. They also carry household pieces and gifts such as wooden whiskey glasses, boards & bowls and more.

Organic Garage – I try and purchase organic food as much as possible, especially for Evan. I love Organic Garage because instead of being limited to a couple aisles of organic food I have an entire grocery store of awesome, healthy food to choose from. Their produce is super fresh, their selection is great and they carry a lot of products I have a hard time finding at other stores (ie. kefir).

Maro’s Bistro – This Middle Eastern Bistro serves up some of the best food in town. This spot is a local fav, known for their bursting flavours and generous portion sizes. You can enjoy take-out or a seat on the bustling patio (reservations recommended). My personal favourites are Lebanese Cavapi, Lunch in Beirut and Babel (I’m not generally a wings person but these are amazing).
