Andalou Naturals Review

With so many skincare products on the market, it’s hard to tell which ones are worth investing in. I introduced Andalou Naturals to my blog back in January, when I rounded up my top face masks for winter hydration (click here for that post). This brand, which is the first Non-GMO Project Verified beauty brand, has been a staple part of my skincare routine for a couple years now. They are on the cutting edge of innovation, creating products that nourish and balance the skin, while leaving behind a fresh, glowing complexion. Woot, two thumbs up for Andalou!

I’m excited to finally share with you guys some of my favourite Andalou products that have proven themselves to be worthy contenders in my skincare routine. Made for sensitive skin, the 1000 Roses line is my absolute favourite. With our skin being our largest and most viable organ, the products in this line nourish and protect sensitive skin and provide optimum results.

1000 Roses Beautiful Day Cream + Heavenly Night Cream

Comprised of alpine rose stem cells, these creams help to nourish and soothe sensitive skin, while the pomegranate elements help to tone and tighten. Without getting too technical, the outermost layer of our skin is called the epidermis, which protects us from toxins and bacteria. The epidermis is covered by the hydrolipid film, which provides another barrier against bacteria. These creams help nourish the hydrolipid film, resulting in a beautiful complexion that allows for a smooth canvas for makeup. So instead of relying on makeup to create the illusion of beautiful skin, start from the inside by taking care of you skin, which is sure to provide the ultimate canvas for your makeup.

1000 Roses Colour & Correct Sheer Tan SPF 30

Woke up late and don’t have time for a full makeup routine? Story of my life. This product provides a sheer coverage, which helps even out the skin when you don’t have time for a full foundation application. It’s the first CC cream with alpine rose stem cells, and provides hydration that will last all day. I love the fresh, natural glow I get with this product.

1000 Roses Eye Revive

The skin around your eyes is the most sensitive, so it’s important to take good care of it to avoid signs of aging. I use this gel before bed for the purpose of reducing fine lines. The rollerball is extremely user-friendly and the gel itself is soothing and hydrating.

1000 Roses Moroccon Beauty Oil

Is there anything this product can’t do? From hydrating the skin to nourishing hands and nails to treating split ends, I’m crazy about this oil for the simple fact that it’s a 100-in-1 product (ok, slight exaggeration, but you get the point). I love travelling with little guy because it’s compact and eliminates the need for 10 more products. Hello efficiency! Just a drop or two of this lightweight oil is enough to do the trick.

1000 Roses Body Lotion + Shower Gel

These products are superfoods for your skin. The body lotion marries together rosehip and argan oils with shea and cocoa butter to combat and protect against dry skin. The shower gel is uber hydrating and contains a blend of rosehip, argan oils and coconut water. These products carry a subtle smell that isn’t too in-your-face, and they help protect the skins moisture barrier to keep you hydrated and smooth.

Coconut Milk Firming Mask + Beauty 2 Go Instant Age Defying Mask

You can click here to read about my review of Andalou’s Instant Soothing Face Mask, but some of my other favourite Andalou masks are the Coconut Firming Mask and the Instant Age Defying Mask. The Coconut Firming Mask improves skin tone, elasticity and firmness, and I love this product because it leaves me with super soft skin. My skin feels stronger after using this mask, so I’ve got to say that the tightening elements are on point. The Instant Age Defying Mask is part of the Andalou’s Beauty 2 Go line, which provides compact products that are perfect for travel. It provides my skin with an instant pick-me-up, as it exfoliates dead cells and leaves behind a beautiful glow. I took a couple of these masks on my recent trip to Dubai, and was my skin ever thankful for it! For both masks, I apply to damp skin, leave on for 15 – 20 minutes and rinse.
